Udta Teer Trailer: Ayushmann Khurrana’s Memory Loss Turns Into Pure Comic Chaos

An amnesiac spy who forgets which side he’s fighting for? That’s the kind of madness only Bollywood can pull off — and it looks hilarious.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan are teaming up for Udta Teer, a fresh action-comedy directed by Akash Kaushik. The newly released trailer promises a wild, laugh-out-loud ride built on mistaken identity, espionage, and total confusion.

What’s the Trailer About?

The trailer introduces Ayushmann Khurrana as Bilal, a Pakistani intelligence operative who loses his memory after a blast — and wakes up firmly convinced he’s an Indian counter-terrorism officer. What follows is a satirical spy caper where Bilal becomes obsessed with protecting India, completely at odds with his original mission. It’s an amnesia plot played strictly for laughs, blending slapstick with spy-thriller tropes, and Sara Ali Khan’s charm adds an extra spark to the chaos.

This isn’t the first time the duo has shared screen space this year — they previously appeared together in the ensemble comedy Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, so their on-screen chemistry already has some mileage behind it.

Amnesia-driven storylines have long been a favourite trope in cinema for mixing drama with comedy — you can read more about how memory loss is portrayed on screen.
