Ubisoft reveals roadmap for Rainbow Six Siege Extraction

In recent news, Ubisoft has recently talked some details about the free post-launch roadmap of updates for Rainbow Six Extraction. Originally announced in the past June at E3 2021, with a simple premise and it brings the usage of Rainbow Six to rescue other operatives and civilians while teaming up with your friends in a new PVE environment.

This will be the first newly-added content and is also one of the biggest for Rainbow Six Extraction, and yes, we are talking about the new Maelstrom Protocol missions.

These missions are designed as weekly challenges with tiered rewards and Maelstrom Protocol will have players exploring a series of nine subzones with increasing difficulty, tougher enemies, quickly depleting resources, and allotted time getting shorter at each stage.

Upon reaching a checkpoint, players will have to make a call between pressing onward, however, losing everything, or extracting early and banking earned points.

There are five tiers of rankings which include Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. At each tier, players will be rewarded with special head cosmetics and REACT Credits, one of the game’s currencies.

Crisis Events are brand-new events that will be made available for a limited period, different from Maelstrom Protocols. In the event, a new character is added to the game and he comes with themed content, but they can also add a new Protean for players to defeat.

The game developer also announced the pricing scheme for Rainbow Six Extraction and the game will release on January 20th, 2022, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Stadia, Amazon Luna, and PC via Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store.

The Standard Edition is priced starting from the new price of $39.99, which includes free post-launch content, Buddy Pass tokens, a deep operator progression system, four adjustable difficulty levels, 13 dynamic mission objectives, over 60 weapons, legacy Rainbow Six Siege tech, 15 exclusive REACT tech, and Maelstrom Protocol, along with weekly challenge mode.

People who have pre-ordered the contents will unlock the Orbital Decay Cosmetic Bundle in Extraction and the Deluxe Edition also includes everything from the Standard Edition alongside three bonus packs, which is also available to pre-order at $49.99.
