The new Pirate hero, brandishing a cutlass and a pistol, joins the conflict in For Honor’s next round of combat. On January 27, the Pirate hero and their swashbuckling crew join the fight as part of Year 5 Season 4: Frozen Shores title update 2.
The Pirate hero is the first member of a new faction, the Outlanders, as announced in a blog post. The Outlanders will be a group of heroes that have no cultural ties to one another and are all free adventurers and explorers. The Pirate is shown with a cutlass and a flintlock pistol in the character trailer, though it’s unclear how the handgun will operate in a game focused mostly on melee combat.
At launch, the Pirate will cost USD 8 and include an exclusive ornament, an elite outfit, seven days of Champion Status, and three scavenging crates. Starting February 10, 15,000 steel will be required to unlock the Pirate. On January 17, the Pirates of Aurora event begins, lasting until February 17, and includes a free event pass for For Honor.
Ubisoft also announced For Honor’s upcoming Year 6, which will span four seasons and introduce two new heroes to the Outlanders. The sixth year, dubbed New Horizons, begins on March 17.
