According to a new report by Tom Henderson on Insider Gaming, Ubisoft currently has nine Assassin’s Creed titles in development. We already knew about a few of them. There’s Assassin’s Creed Jade, a mobile game set in Ancient China, and one of the two officially announced projects. Not much has been heard from it in two years, but Henderson says this is the next game in the series to launch.

Ubisoft Has 9 Assassin’s Creed Games in Development, Including Remakes, RPGs, and Multiplayer Titles
Another one is Invictus, a multiplayer mode said to have been inspired by Fall Guys. Henderson recently said in a tweet last month on a 2025 time frame, and now additionally includes that Ubisoft has planned to back the game for at least five years after its release date, as long as the game’s internal sales targets are met. A remake of 2013’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, with the codename Obsidian, is also scheduled to be released during the same timeframe and be launched serially at the end of 2025 and 2026.
Assassin’s Creed Hexe, another confirmed title, was teased during Ubisoft Forward in 2022. Developed by Ubisoft Montréal under Clint Hocking, known for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Far Cry 2, it’s been described as a “very different” entry, similar in tone to Mirage. Henderson says it’s slated to launch after post-launch support ends for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, likely around 2027, with one year of post-release content planned.
Meanwhile, the next major open-world RPG in the series, codenamed Scarlet, is in production. Henderson suspects it could be Assassin’s Creed Nebula, rumored to span three diverse settings: the Aztec Empire, India, and the Mediterranean. Beyond these, details become murky. Stardust is the codename for a mystery remake, though the original game isn’t identified.
Emerald is said to be another multiplayer project with a similar five-year roadmap, and will likely launch near Stardust. Finally, two more codenamed projects—RPG 3 and Remake 3—are planned for years down the line, with Remake 3 following roughly a year after RPG 3 ends its live support. In the meantime, Ubisoft has officially shared the Year One roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
