It is announced by Ubisoft that Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will be targeted to run at 120FPS in 4K settings on the upcoming next-gen consoles(Play Station 5, Xbox Series X). The company revealed this information during the Ubisoft Forward event along with news of Prince Of Persia Sands of Time remake.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published bY Ubisoft, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is an online tactical shooter video game. The game was released on 7th April 2015, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Now the game will be released for Xbox Series X and Play Station 5 when they hit the consumer market.
The developer of the game announced that the game will run at 4K on both the next-gen consoles and is intended to give 120FPS. Though the Xbox Series S will not be able to achieve 4K 120FPS instead it will target 120FPS at 1440p. Moreover, The developer also affirmed that Rainbox Six Siege players will be able to crossplay across generations i.e. PlayStation 5 players will be able to play with PlayStation 4 players, and the Xbox Series X|S players will be able to play with the Xbox One players.
The party didn’t stop here, the developers also announced that players shifting from old console to their latest next-gen console will be able to keep their progression from last-gen consoles to next-gen consoles. This means that Xbox One users will carry forward their progression to Xbox Series X and PS4 users to PS5.
The game is expected to release somewhere in 2020 for the next-gen consoles as stated by Ubisoft. Yet we didn’t any exact release date of the game and the company is still due to verify whether the game will be a free upgrade for the previous generation consoles to their family’s next-gen console.
