The Case: Margot’s Disappearance

Margot Webster, a Biozine crime scene cleaner, vanished after investigating the Hardens’ deaths—an elderly couple where disabled Nancy starved to death three days after her husband Mort fell down the stairs. While authorities ruled both deaths accidental, Margot suspected murder.

Colter’s Unlikely Partners

Colter’s investigation led him to Gunther, a freelance crime scene photographer, and Eddie, a crime scene memorabilia collector—both amateur sleuths who shared Margot’s obsession with unsolved cases. Together, they discovered a hidden room in the Hardens’ house filled with food containers, confirming someone had watched Nancy starve.

The Angel Wings Connection

Eddie noticed angel wing drawings at multiple crime scenes—the Raffertys and Appelbaums—all involving caregivers and their disabled patients found dead. The common thread? All victims had connections to Vorhees Physical Therapy Center.

Finding the Serial Killer Francis

Colter traced the angel wings symbol to Francis, an employee at Vorhees Physical Therapy Center who originally drew them. Francis had been on a years-long killing spree, targeting caregivers and their vulnerable patients under the twisted delusion he was granting them “mercy.”

When Francis was discovered sitting with Margot and his deceased mother having tea, the full horror became clear—he kept their bodies because in death, they couldn’t abandon him. Francis exploited his access to vulnerable people, ending their lives while believing he was relieving caregivers of their burdens.

The Final Confrontation

When Colter finally confronted Francis, things turned physical as Francis nearly overpowered the expert tracker, making the rescue genuinely intense. Through teamwork with Gunther and Eddie, Colter successfully rescued Margot and brought Francis to justice.

Shaw Family Mystery Deepens

The episode ended with a cliffhanger connecting to the larger Shaw family drama. Randy informed Colter he found something important in records about David Pearson that Russell sent over—something significant enough that Colter needs to investigate immediately.
