Tracker Season 3 Episode 10: Brutal Cliffhanger Leaves Fans Waiting Until March 2026

CBS just dropped a massive bombshell on Tracker fans. After tonight’s heart-stopping midseason finale left Colter Shaw and Keaton bleeding out from gunshot wounds in a car crash, viewers must wait an agonizing 11 weeks for answers. Episode 10 doesn’t return until March 1, 2026—and it’s moving to a brand new time slot.

Tracker Season 3 Episode 10 Essential Details

What Happened in Episode 9’s Shocking Finale

Episode 9, titled “Good Trouble,” ended with a devastating cliffhanger that has fans spiraling. Colter and his ally Keaton were investigating a dairy farmer’s murder when they uncovered connections to an Armenian crime syndicate. Their discovery of multiple bodies led them directly into the crosshairs of Emile Lang, a ruthless hitman.

The episode concluded with both men suffering gunshot wounds before their vehicle was forced off the road in a dramatic crash. As the screen faded to black with Keaton’s fate particularly uncertain, viewers were left wondering if the fan-favorite character would survive.

According to TVLine’s exclusive first look, yes, Colter Shaw survives—shocking, right? However, Keaton’s fate remains ambiguous, with showrunner Elwood Reid keeping tight-lipped about the recurring character played by Brent Sexton.

Why the Massive 11-Week Break?

CBS has strategic reasons for this extended hiatus. Network television traditionally avoids major competition from the Golden Globes, NFL playoffs, and the Academy Awards during January and February. Additionally, the time slot change positions Tracker after the highly anticipated Yellowstone spinoff Y: Marshals, potentially boosting viewership through a stronger lead-in audience.

The move to 9 PM also signals CBS’s confidence in the Justin Hartley-led drama, placing it in a more competitive primetime position where it can capture older demographics without NFL football interference.

Season 3’s Extended Run

Season 3 represents Tracker‘s biggest expansion yet with 22 episodes total—up from Season 1’s 13 episodes and Season 2’s 20 episodes. Nine episodes have aired so far, leaving 13 more adventures through May 2026. This extended season allows deeper exploration of Colter’s mysterious family history and his father’s death, storylines that have become increasingly central to Season 3’s narrative arc.

The series, based on Jeffery Deaver’s novel The Never Game, continues to dominate CBS’s Sunday lineup. You can stream all episodes on Paramount+ starting the day after broadcast.

What to Expect When Tracker Returns

While CBS hasn’t released an official synopsis for Episode 10, the March premiere will need to address immediate questions: Will Keaton survive? What’s the full scope of the Armenian crime syndicate? And how does Emile Lang fit into the larger conspiracy?

The official Tracker page promises more high-stakes tracking adventures as Colter continues his “rewardist” work—helping law enforcement and private citizens solve cases in exchange for reward money. His survival skills, investigative instincts, and complex family dynamics keep audiences hooked week after week.

Justin Hartley’s performance as the lone-wolf tracker has earned critical acclaim, with the series consistently ranking among CBS’s top-rated dramas. The addition of new cast member Cassady McClincy Zhang as Reenie’s assistant Melanie “Mel” Day has also energized Season 3’s storytelling.
