Top Super Computers in India

 

There are so many numbers of Super Computers spread in almost every country in the World. The maximum number of Super Computers are owned by the United States and China. Both have 171 numbers of systems. Our India own 5 best Super Computers among them the fastest one holds 45th position in the top 500 list. The next one also belongs within the top 100 list.

Super Computers got their rank as per the performance, this is obvious. The performance is measured by Rmax and Rpeak value where Rmax denotes the maximum performance achieved by the computer and Rpeak denotes its theoretical maximum performance.

The top five supercomputers of India are Pratyush, Mihir, InC1 – Lenovo C1040, SERC, and iDataPlex DX360M4.

*Cray XC40

Three out of Five Super Computers of India are Cray XC40. Cray is one of the reputed supercomputer manufacturing companies. XC is a series and 40 is a particular model or combination. There are also XC30 and XC50. These all are massively parallel multiprocessing supercomputers. XC40 consists of Intel Haswell Xeon Processor stored in an air-cooled or liquid-cooled cabinet.
