Samitier played as an attacking midfielder a century ago and was one of the few to play for both Barcelona and Real Madrid. However, his stint with Barcelona lasted over a decade while that with Madrid only went on for 2.

10. Juanito: 10 Goals

10. Hugo Sanchez: 10 Goals

Mexico’s greatest ever footballer, Hugo Sanchez was known for scoring volleys and being one of the best forwards for any team he represented. He has also won the Pichichi Trophy which goes to show his attacking prowess.

9. Luis Suarez: 11 Goals

The Uruguayan is one of the best centre-forwards of this generation, and his goalscoring record in the historic fixture sets him apart from many legends in the first place. Now featuring in the Madrid derby, Suarez is still racking up goals like crazy.

8. Santillana: 12 Goals

Santillana spent 17 years at Real Madrid and became one of the most respected centre-forwards in the club’s history with his displays leading the line. The forward scored 264 goals in 604 appearances throughout his career across all competitions.

7. Ferenc Puskas: 14 Goals

Puskas is still, to this day, revered as one of the best players to ever grace the game of football. Moreover, the fact that he has an annual award named after him also goes to show his prowess. The forward scorers 156 goals in 180 La Liga appearances whilst winning numerous accolades for Los Blancos.

6. Francisco Gento: 14 Goals

Gento won the European Cup a record 6 times with Real Madrid. He had lightning-like pace and featured on the left-wing of Real Madrid for over 18 years before calling it a day.

5. Cesar Rodriguez: 14 Goals

The Barcelona forward was a la Masia graduate and went on to be one of the most revered centre-forwards for Barcelona in his generation. He scored 256 goals in over 300 career appearances, 14 of which were against Real Madrid.

4. Raul: 15 Goals

The legendary Madrid number 7 is still remembered as one of the most deadly centre-forwards to ever play the game. He now coaches Real Madrid’s Castilla team and is doing an amazing job with the youngsters too.

3. Di Stefano: 18 Goals

Real Madrid have named their training ground after the legendary forward and will host the match against Barcelona at that very ground which makes the inclusion of Alfredo Di Stefano that much more fitting.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo: 18 Goals

Madrid’s highest ever goalscorer, 18 of Ronaldo’s goals have come against Barcelona which ties him up as the Madrid player with the most number of goals against Barcelona alongside another great legend. He is, however, alone at the top for the most goals scored at Camp Nou.

1. Messi: 26 Goals

The only player on this list who can extend his record, Messi has the most Clasico appearances of all since he has spent all his career at Barcelona, and is already a class apart from everybody else on this list.
