Titan has introduced Vetra, its proprietary mechanical watch movement brand, signaling an advancement in the company’s mechanical watchmaking capabilities within India. This initiative underpins the new Titan Automatics collection, which features the Vetra 7A series of movements.

The Vetra 7A series utilizes a unified mechanical architecture, allowing for varied horological functions across its initial four timepieces: Infinium, Dualis, Midnite, and Atrium. These models incorporate in-house mechanical engineering with contemporary design elements, offering features such as a 72-hour power reserve, GMT functionality, and a dual-disc big date display. The collection is priced between INR 47,995 and INR 54,995.

Rahul Shukla, Vice-President and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer – Watches Division at Titan Company Limited, stated that the Vetra launch positions Titan among a group of watchmakers with in-house mechanical capabilities. He added that this development contributes to India’s indigenous horological ecosystem and strengthens its standing in modern watchmaking.

Titan: Key Features of the Vetra 7A Series

The Vetra 7A series forms the foundation for the new Titan Automatics collection, demonstrating a versatile movement architecture. All watches in the collection are constructed with 316L surgical grade stainless steel cases, domed sapphire crystals featuring a 3-layer anti-reflective coating, and X1 grade Swiss SuperLuminova for nighttime visibility. Each Vetra movement is hand-assembled and individually tested to meet NF S 81-513 and ISO 22810 global standards.

The Titan Automatics Collection

The collection comprises four distinct models:

Midnite:
Utilizing the Vetra 7A77 calibre, the Midnite presents a crisp change of its dual-disc big date display. It features a vertical pattern dial and faceted hands within a 42 mm case.

Atrium: Driven by the Vetra in-house calibre 7A200-C, the Atrium includes an offset seconds sub-dial and a knurled bezel. Available in concealed and open-heart variants, it features a sandblasted dial and a dual-finish bracelet.
