When it comes to making any Top 10 Best PS5 Games list, it’s a very complicated task. Because Sony has traditionally had the upper hand over its competitors and has a huge library of games. This is because many of PlayStation Studios’ most skilled developers are now solely focused on narrative-driven experiences, resulting in some of the best games of all time being released exclusively on PlayStation systems.
Here is the list of the Top 10 Best PS5 Games in June 2023:
Grand Theft Auto 5
Grand Theft Auto 5 is no longer as groundbreaking as it was when it was initially published in late 2013, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t still a superb open-world game. Each iteration delivers a slew of visible enhancements, with the PS5 edition allowing players to explore the fictional metropolis of Los Santos in 4K and at 60 frames per second.
Ghostwire: Tokyo
Though its fighting is a tad basic and its primary story falls short, Ghostwire: Tokyo has one of the best open-world landscapes in gaming. Its pixel-perfect depiction of Japan’s capital city is a joy to explore, and some of the side tasks and personalities encountered along the way help to enrich the entire experience.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut
Many open-world games face criticism for their cookie-cutter approach to populating their wide landscapes, while others are criticized for feeling far too barren. At first sight, Death Stranding appears to be headed for the second category, but there’s something charmingly purposeful about its bleak and dismal setting.
Resident Evil 4
Capcom has done an excellent job replicating some of the older Resident Evil titles for the most part, and 2023’s Resident Evil 4 is no exception. Indeed, some may say that it is the best of the group, with only the Resident Evil 2 remake coming close to matching the genius of this highly influential game.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales was launched alongside the PlayStation 5, giving players the opportunity to return to the wonderfully portrayed streets of New York that helped make its predecessor such a success. The deluxe edition of the game even includes a remastered version of Marvel’s Spider-Man, delivering superb value for those who missed out on the PS4 classic.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut
Some of the images in Ghost of Tsushima are really breathtaking. This is especially true of the game’s director’s cut for the PlayStation 5, which includes haptic feedback, support for higher resolutions and frame rates, and substantially faster loading times over the PS4 original. It also includes the amazing Iki Island DLC, which is a must-have for fans of the game’s main edition.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection introduces a new generation of players to Nathan Drake’s final adventure, as well as the vastly underappreciated Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Both titles looked excellent before being rebuilt, but the capability of the PS5 pushes the graphics to new heights. The remasters also make fantastic use of the adjustable triggers on the system.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
The Witcher games have always been known for their magnificent locations, but The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt takes things to the next level. The continent on which the game is set begs to be explored, and those who do so are rewarded with some of the best side quests and character interactions in gaming history. Not only is it one of the best open-world games on the PS5, but it’s also one of the best open-world games of all time.
Elden Ring
Elden Ring is a fantastic game on almost every level. It looks wonderful, the combat is fantastic, and the lore of the Lands Between is extremely well-developed. Although, like many other FromSoftware titles, the game has some multiplayer components, the game’s optional multiplayer probably places Elden Ring firmly in the single-player realm.
God of War: Ragnarok
There isn’t much to choose between God of War Ragnarok and Elden Ring, with the two titles going head-to-head at several 2022 game awards ceremonies. When it comes to user-friendliness, Kratos and Atreus have the upper hand, with the climax to the pair’s odyssey through Norse mythology catering to a considerably larger population due to the game’s easier combat system and amazing range of accessibility choices.
