The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 may not be the most repairable phone

Samsung has had an amazing month, following its Unpacked 2021 event where it released the third generation of flip and fold devices along with other gadgets, it has been the talk of the town, and all the buzz that exists is due to the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Galaxy Z Flip3 devices.

Though these devices have revolutionized the concept of flip and fold devices, they may not be the most repairable devices, despite Samsung’s claims to have made it durable enough for everyday use once you damage the device, it might be extremely hard to fix it back up.

PBK Reviews, a popular YouTuber tore down the Galaxy Z Fold3 the last week, this week he tore down the Flip3 and went further this time by removing the Flip3’s flexible AMOLED display, arguably the most expensive component of the device.

Take a look at the video below, Samsung has used a lot of graphite pads to keep the Galaxy Flip3 cool, the downside of things is that the company also continues to firmly install its batteries, as is the case with the Galaxy Fold3. PBK Reviews awards the Galaxy Z Flip3 a meager 4/10 in terms of reparability.

Nonetheless, the Galaxy Z Flip3 should be sturdier than its predecessors, if you consider the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G as two different devices.

Samsung has certified the latest device with IPX8 water and dust resistance rating, PBK reviews also managed to re-assemble the Galaxy Z Flip3 after removing the thin display of the device, underlining the device’s fair amount of longevity.
