There are many teenage sensations who have made it big or have the potential to be the next big things in world football.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are still the best players currently playing the game but unfortunately, they are in the twilight of their careers. Some of the younger players are already showing the potential to take it forward from them and the name which instantly comes to our mind is Kylian Mbappe.
Apart from Mbappe, there are many more younger stars who are hoping to make it big in the next few years. Here we take a look at two of the rising stars who have caught the eye of all the top European clubs including Arsenal:
Dominik Szoboszlai
Szoboszlai is one of the most sought-after players in Europe. The 20-year-old just led his team to Euro 2020 and is expected to move on from RB Salzburg either in January or next summer. Speaking on the podcast, Fabrizio Romano confirmed recent reports that Arsenal are long-term admirers of RB Salzburg’s Dominik Szoboszlai. At this stage, they haven’t made a move.
However, the player loves the Premier League, and Arsenal are considering the situation as they look to sign a player like Szoboszlai or Houssem Aouar. “The situation is that Arsenal [have been] following Szoboszlai [for] years,” Romano said. “So, what we [can] say is that Arsenal’s scouting [department] are looking at the player. At the moment, there are no negotiations with [Salzburg]. He’s in love with the Premier League, so let’s see what Arsenal will decide. What I’m told is that Arsenal are looking to sign this kind of player. They were looking [at Houssem] Aouar, they are now considering the situation of Szoboszlai. So, let’s see what will happen next summer or [in] January, but Arsenal are following the player.”
Atto Abbas
Speaking on the podcast, Fabrizio Romano confirmed recent reports that Arsenal eyeing a move for Kasimpasa’s Atto Abbas. Arsenal eye a move for Nigerian in January according to Fabrizio Romano claimed that Atto has been on the watchlist of arsenal side since a couple of months ago.
The Kasimpasa wonder-kid is comfortable playing as a winger, central midfield and attacking midfield for Turkish super lig team. Fabrizio Romano hinted that “the boy has great potential because he possesses a wonderful footwork, nice thinking on the ball, speed and agility”. Kasimpasa claimed that the player has been training with them for a year now and are still in process of his paperwork. Serious interest from Arsenal could depend on Kasimpasa’s willingness to let him go.
