According to reports, Xiaomi’s Redmi is set to launch a slightly improved version of its Redmi 9a, which is Redmi 9i. The Redmi 9i consists of the same chassis as the pre-existing 9a, but the improvements will be on the side of RAM and the onboard storage. Let’s check out what are the specifications the Redmi 9i brings for us.
The Redmi 9i runs on the Android 10 OS and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 SoC chipset. Regarding the display, this phone offers 6.53 inches HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display (720 x 1600 pixels). Coming to the camera section, this phone features a single rear camera module, which includes a 13 MP sensor (f/2.2, 28mm (wide), 1.0µm, PDAF). Coming to the selfie section, this phone offers a 5 MP selfie camera (f/2.2, (wide), 1.12µm).
Now let’s check out the RAM and internal storage for which Redmi 9i comes into the market. The Redmi 9a had 3GB of RAM, whereas the Redmi 9i has 4GB of RAM with two variants of internal storage: 64GB and 128GB. Also, this phone supports the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Coming to the price and availability, Redmi will start selling the Redmi 9i on platforms such as Mi.com and Flipkart starting September 24, 2020. The 4GB/64GB variant will have the price tag of INR 8299 (or ~$113), whereas the 4GB/128GB option will be INR 9299 (~$126).
