The Raja Saab Trailer 2.0: Prabhas vs Sanjay Dutt in VFX-Heavy Horror Fantasy

Prabhas is back with a genre-bending surprise! The Raja Saab Trailer 2.0 has dropped, and it’s everything fans didn’t expect from the Baahubali star. This mystical horror fantasy showcases Prabhas in an adorable avatar while setting up an epic showdown with Sanjay Dutt. Releasing on Sankranti 2026, the film promises to be a visual effects spectacle unlike anything Telugu cinema has seen.

The Raja Saab Trailer 2.0: A Deeper Look at the Horror Fantasy

The 3-minute-11-second trailer offers a clearer glimpse into The Raja Saab’s narrative. Unlike Prabhas’s usual larger-than-life action roles, this film presents him in a more lovable, relatable light. The story follows a young man willing to take shortcuts for easy money who decides to sell his ancestral property, only to discover it’s haunted by his malevolent grandfather’s spirit.

Prabhas vs Sanjay Dutt: The Ultimate Clash

The trailer establishes an intriguing confrontation between Prabhas and Sanjay Dutt, who plays the antagonistic spirit. The grandfather character uses hypnotism to trap people in never-ending trances, creating psychological horror alongside visual spectacle. By the trailer’s end, even Prabhas’s character appears to fall victim to this trance, forcing him to balance heroism with possession.

Why The Raja Saab Matters

Originally scheduled for December 5, 2025, The Raja Saab was postponed to avoid the crowded year-end release window. The Sankranti 2026 slot gives it breathing room to showcase Prabhas in a completely different avatar. For an actor known for action blockbusters like Baahubali, Saaho, and Salaar, this horror fantasy represents a bold creative risk that could redefine his versatility.

Director Maruthi’s vision combined with Prabhas’s star power creates anticipation for a film that blends commercial entertainment with experimental storytelling. Whether The Raja Saab becomes a trendsetter for horror fantasies in Telugu cinema or remains a one-off experiment, it’s undeniably one of the most anticipated releases of early 2026.
