The next CEO of Amazon believes the Studio will keep trying to develop a hit Game

Although Amazon has plenty of resources to solve those problems it encounters, the company can still not establish the process of making videogames. The free-to-play hero shooter Crucible flopped so badly that Amazon Game Studios decided not to release it, and then the company had cancelled the project. The MMO New World has also been delayed multiple time and still don’t have a release date.

According to a Bloomberg report published in January informed that the studio “cultivated a ‘bro culture’” and suffered from inexperience in upper management, including studio’s head Mike Frazzini, who started in Amazon’s book department.

Andy Jassy, who will be the next Amazon CEO this summer, showed support in an email to the staff and said that Amazon remains focused on its game business.

Jassy wrote, “Some businesses take off in the first year, and others take many years. Though we haven’t consistently succeeded yet in AGS, I believe we will if we hang in there. Being successful right away is obviously less stressful, but it’s often sweeter when it takes longer. I believe this team will get there if we stay focused on what matters most.”

Making games is not easy for everyone, as Tyler said, even trillion-dollar global companies like Amazon. Maybe some changes in management could fulfil the target like include some experienced leadership, turn around the internal culture, and the rest of the things might fall into place.

It seems interesting to see Jassy’s recommitment to making games and if you have noticed or not, this comes just a few days after the announcement of Google that it is pulling the plug on Google’s Stadia internal studios.
