Finally, Acer has updated its most successful Acer Nitro 5 Gaming laptop series with the latest 10th Gen Comet Lake-H CPUs along with NVIDIA GeForce GTX & RTX Super GPUs. On the design front, there has not been any improvement compared to 2019 but the hardware has got real upgrade.
There will again be two variants – 15.6-inch and 17-inch displays with the standard 15.6-inch one with 80% screen to body ratio and on the 17-inch, Acer promises narrow bezels too. It has a Full HD (1920 x 1080) Acer ComfyView LED-backlit TFT LCD IPS Display.
You can opt for a higher refresh rate screen options as well, up to 144Hz refresh rate screen with low latency of 3ms. Also, Acer has upgraded the keyboard with 4-zone RGB lighting.
You can choose between a Core i5-10300H or a Core i7-10750H CPU, paired with up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM using two SODIMM modules and dual M.2 supporting PCIe SSD support in RAID 0. For graphics, the budget variants of the laptop come with GTX 1650, 1660 graphics and support for RTX 2060 graphics as well.
It’s great to see Acer include the latest Wi-Fi 6 with 2×2 MU-MIMO technology and also Bluetooth v5.0 support for connectivity. For ports, we have an HDMI port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, along with one USB Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 port and an Ethernet port.
The new Acer Nitro 5 is equpped with 57.5Wh li-ion battery which Acer claims can give up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. It features an HD webcam with 720p resolution and dual speakers with DTS:X Ultra support. You can access the Acer NitroSense software with a dedicated key to tune or customize your laptop.
The Acer Nitro 5 (2020) has a starting price of ₹72,990 in India and can be availed on Acer’s store, authorized e-commerce stores and via retail outlets. The base variant features a 15-inch display, a 10th gen Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 GPU.
