The 28-year-old young Indian pacer Deepak Chahar felt emotional when talking about the love and care he received from Tamil Nadu capital. He also stated that it feels like heading home flying to Chennai. He narrated a touching story about his father Lokendra Singh Chahar’s experience in the city on Instagram.
Deepak Chahar posted a video on the Instagram handle of CSK, with a statement that flying to Chennai is like coming home. The players are showered with warmth each time they visit the city during IPL.
From 17th to 24th August which is the celebration time of Madras Week, on this occasion Deepak Chahar, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayadu chose to share some of the good memories about Chennai. They were in Chepauk for their preparatory training camp ahead of the Indian Premier League, 2020.
“When you’re flying to Chennai, it actually feels like you’re going home. Because the love we get in Chennai is more than what we get in our hometown.”
Chahar is a very promising youngster in this current Indian cricket team. He has good control in his bowling and he is trying to increase his pace of bowling for effective results. He has played a prominent role in winning the series against Bangladesh in the final match. He took the best bowling figures in T20Is, with six wickets for seven runs from 3.2 overs. He also took the first hat-trick by a bowler for India and his first five-wicket haul in T20Is. He won the Player of the Match award for the final match and also the Player of the series award.
Regarding CSK, there is no other team in IPL which is so much consistent in its performance. Chahar expects a good season in IPL 2020 and he also believes that CSK has everything to be the champion of IPL, 2020.
