The Lord of the Rings: Gollum tracks down the hobbit known as ‘Sméagol’ who is on his own in search of the missing ring. He does not focus on cursing the Bagginses, as shown in numerous events throughout the trilogy film, but rather on finding the ring.

All of the players in the game will have to jump, run, and tip-toe past every type of monster found in Tolkien’s writing, all while dealing with Gollum’s split personality, as shown in the trailer. Gollum has no choice but to go get it because Sméagol swore on it.

The Tolkien Estate’s Middle-earth Enterprises and Daedalic have officially partnered for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. This is the first time the two have collaborated on a project. Furthermore, the game was originally scheduled to be released in 2021. However, the game has been postponed from its original release date of early this year to sometime in 2022.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has yet to receive an official release date but is slated to arrive on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in 2022.
