The Last of Us Part I

Previously we have talked about The Last of Us Part I and its PC version. And now we are here to talk about the first update it received after getting launched for PC.

What’s more exciting is that with the new update there a bunch of improvements that has been ruling over the hearts of players. The Last of Us Part I new update has brought AMD FSR 3 and DLSS together which is making the gaming experience more immersive.

However, that’s not all about the new update of the game and there is more. Want to know then don’t go anywhere else because we have got you. In this article we are going to discuss about the new update of The Last of Us Part I. So, let’s dive in.

The Last of Us Part I New Update

For a long time we all have been waiting for the PC version of the The Last of Us Part I, and now it has got its first update too. Just a month ago we got the The Last of Us Part I PC version and recently it has got the version 1.1.3 update.

The new update is loaded with Frame Generation and AMD FSR 3 Super Resolution. But unfortunately, the early reports of the The Last of Us Part I update are not that much flattering.

CapFrameX, the author of the benchmarking software has shared in Twitter/X,

“I’ve just tested it on the RTX 4090. 60fps+ DLSS feels snappier than 120fps + FG. DLSS also offers the better image quality.”

On the other hand one user linked the new update in the game with the last year’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora patch, which to some extent made the AMD FSR 3 worse. The post reads,

“It’s the same BS as Avatar since the last update. It basically reports double the real framerate, probably duplicating frames, but the feeling is exactly like half of that. Say, you use the in – game fps cap to 60fps, it will show 120fps but same feeling as 60.”

To this, CapFrameX further added:

“Yes, I can confirm that. FG doesn’t feel smooth.”

Now, after this the talk has been started on the issues that The Last of Us Part I new update is facing. According to some the AMD FSR 3 mode in late 2023 by LukeFZ was more fluid. So, it can be an issue with FSR 3.03. Since this version is also used by the Avatar game, so there are chances that it can be the issue.
