Two times IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders has reached in Abu Dhabi with all its Indian players and they are putting up at the Ritz Carlton hotel. They will be in quarantine there for a few days and after all the quarantine requirements are met, the team will be in action and start their practice session.

According to the skipper Dinesh Karthik, he is very much confident about his team. Though most of the players were out of action for a longer period of time for Covid-19, still he is very hopeful towards his teammates, a group of quality Indian players as well as some overseas heavyweights like Andre Russell, Pat Cummins. KKR is all ready to set fire on the field.

“This IPL will be different. What has happened in the world has pained us deeply and it is surely a challenge to play cricket. But we understand that when we play the game, we bring happiness to our fans. Yes, there will be a bio bubble. Yes, we haven’t played or trained extensively for the last few months. Yes, the road ahead may be full of obstacles. But we promise to give it all,” Dinesh Karthik said.

The only Chinaman bowler from the team Kuldeep Yadav is very much excited about this season. After a long break from cricket, they are heading back towards the field. Last time we have seen this Chinaman in action in the 2019 ICC World Cup. Last year IPL was not that good for this young player, but this time he is very much confident about his ability.

“Initially, it was very tough to adjust when the lockdown was imposed, because we were unable to practice outdoors. But I am completely ready now. In fact, I will be happy if there is a match in the next 7 days! I can’t wait to get back in action,” Kuldeep Yadav told kkr.in.

Generally, Kolkata Knight Riders is a type of team who is not known for its star players from all over the world, this team believes in its teamwork and performance in the field. Legendary batsman Gautam Gambhir made KKR champions two freaking times (2012 and 2014) under his captaincy. Now the steering is in the hands of DK. He is a good captain too and he has a good potential to make his team win the ultimate title for the third time.
