“The Husband” Episode 9 Preview: Is Namkoong Min Hiding Something From His Kidnapped Wife?

Just when things couldn’t get more tangled, “The Husband” has dropped a preview that raises fresh doubts about its leading man. New stills tease a loaded encounter between Namkoong Min, Lee Seol, and Jo Yun Seo — and fans are already picking apart every glance.

The thriller follows Kang Tae Joo (Namkoong Min), a man dragged into a desperate fight against a dangerous criminal after his wife is kidnapped right before their divorce was set to finalize. It’s a premise built on unraveling trust, and Episode 9 looks ready to test that even further.

In the previous episode, Kang Tae Joo searched near his in-laws’ home for his missing father-in-law, Go Dong Chan (Jang Gwang). He briefly spotted his wife, Go Se Yoon (Lee Seol), in his side mirror — the first glimpse of her since the kidnapping — but the two didn’t manage to actually meet.

That near-miss finally breaks in Episode 9. The new stills show Kang Tae Joo and Go Se Yoon crossing paths in a hospital hallway, where they exchange something between them. Strangely, Kang Tae Joo avoids making eye contact, leaving Go Se Yoon visibly unsettled. Moments later, she turns back — only to catch him in a serious, hushed conversation with Cha Myung Hee (Jo Yun Seo), instantly raising questions about what connects the three of them.

The production team teased that this moment will become a turning point for the story, hinting that the meeting between all three characters could set off a new chain of events.

The Husband: Overview

Stories built around a spouse’s disappearance and buried secrets often draw from the broader tradition of the psychological thriller genre — where suspicion and shifting loyalties matter more than action, and every glance can carry a hidden motive. “The Husband” seems to be leaning fully into that slow-burn tension.

While waiting for Episode 9, fans can catch Namkoong Min in “The Veil” or Lee Seol in “Between Him and Her” to tide themselves over. For more K-drama previews and entertainment updates, head over to TechnoSports.
