The margaritas are chilled, the secrets are buried (for now), and the cameras have officially stopped rolling. The Hunting Wives Season 2 has wrapped production — and everything we know about the new season suggests Netflix’s soapy Texas thriller is coming back bigger, bolder, and far more dangerous.

The Hunting Wives Production Wrapped — Here’s What Happened

Filming for the eight-episode second season officially kicked off on November 17, 2025, returning to the Charlotte and Gastonia areas of North Carolina — which doubles for the show’s East Texas setting. IMDb The official wrap party took place on March 1, 2026, with cast members confirming the celebration on Instagram, though some additional filming continued beyond that date. IMDb

What to Expect From Season 2

Season 2 picks up with Sophie (Brittany Snow) and Margo (Malin Åkerman) still on bad terms following the explosive Season 1 finale — but “old secrets and new foes” force the dangerous duo back together, with the central question becoming: are they the hunters, or the hunted? IMDb

Speaking at the Golden Globes in January 2026, Brittany Snow teased that the upcoming season will be “more steamy” than the first and confirmed a major character death is coming. IMDb Consider yourselves warned.

The new cast additions are genuinely exciting — Full House and You star John Stamos plays Chase Brylan, Dale Dickey (Fallout) joins as Zelda Moffitt, and WNBA star Angel Reese appears in a recurring capacity. IMDb Cam Gigandet (Twilight) also joins in a recurring guest role. IMDb

The streaming television landscape rarely produces soapy thrillers this compulsively watchable — and Season 2’s expanded global reach suggests Netflix has very big plans for this franchise.
