Good news if you’ve been counting down: The Diplomat Season 4 is out now. After a year of waiting, all eight episodes landed on Netflix on October 15, 2026, so you can binge the whole thing this weekend. If you were searching for the The Diplomat Season 4 release date, the wait is officially over.

The Diplomat Season 4 Release Date and Timing

Netflix dropped every episode at once, with episodes going live at 12 a.m. PT (3 a.m. ET, 8 a.m. BST). In India, that works out to about 12:30 p.m. IST. Netflix confirmed the date in August alongside a first teaser, and it has kept its yearly October schedule, with Season 2 in October 2024 and Season 3 in October 2025.

What’s the Story This Time?

Spoilers for Season 3 ahead. Last season ended with Kate realizing the US had stolen Russia’s Poseidon weapon and used her credibility to cover it up. Season 4 picks up from there. The official synopsis says one catastrophic moment shatters the fragile US-UK peace Kate built, while President Grace Penn and VP Hal Wyler’s conspiracy pushes America toward war.

Here’s the fun twist: Kate and Todd Penn, an uneasy pair at best, team up to stop their own spouses. Creator Debora Cahn describes it as two couples strapped together on a crumbling roller coaster, and honestly, that sounds perfect.

Why the Hype Is Real?

The show arrives with fresh momentum. Allison Janney won the series’ first-ever Emmy in September, a big upset for Netflix. It’s also been renewed since May 2025, though viewership has dipped each season, so Season 4’s numbers may decide whether a fifth outing happens.
