But finally, the release date is all set. The movie is expected to release in Spring 2022. It will be the first standalone Batman film since 2012.

In this latest version of the Batman movie, we will explore the early days of the popular superhero. While skipping over the origin story focusing on Batman as he is in the process of discovering himself before he has become a fully-fledged crimefighter. It is directed by Matt Reeves. The Batman will exist outside of the DC Extended Universe. This will make a truly standalone movie. It also means that Ben Affleck will continue to be the Batman of the DCEU and, therefore, it is expected at some point in the near future he will also get his own solo Batman film, after being involved in the early plans for this one and then dropping out.
