The film is initially set to be released in 2021, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it got delayed several times. The new Batman movie has been finally all set to release the movie officially on 4th March 2022 in the USA. The movie was initially set to be released in the month of June 2021 and after that, it got delayed and was decided to be released in October 2021, but both the delays have been put down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Batman will exist outside of the DC Extended Universe. This will make a truly standalone movie. It also means that Ben Affleck will continue to be the Batman of the DCEU and, therefore, it is expected at some point in the near future he will also get his own solo Batman film, after being involved in the early plans for this one and then dropping out.
