What Comes Next

Trade estimates suggest the momentum isn’t done:

Sunday: Another surge is expected, with the four-day extended weekend likely to land near Rs 220 crore in India.
Worldwide weekend: The extended weekend is projected at Rs 400 crore plus.
Dussehra boost: Puja holidays on Monday and Tuesday could help the film close in on Rs 500 crore worldwide.
A third century day: It remains to be seen whether Sunday gives the film a record third in a row.

Conclusion

According to the report, Jailer 2 is poised to become the biggest grosser in Kollywood history. A Rs 500 crore mark would still leave it roughly Rs 100 crore short of the original Jailer and Rs 150 crore short of the current industry hit, 2.0. The original Jailer reportedly added nearly Rs 300 crore after its first six days, so the sequel has room to climb.

Strong growth across regions: Saturday’s jump wasn’t limited to one market.
Overseas power: Over Rs 150 crore from abroad in three days shows Rajinikanth’s global pull.
Holiday timing: Festival days could keep audiences flowing into theaters.
