Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and V Flip 2: Pre-Order Details, Design Revealed, and Upcoming Specs

Tecno has officially announced its foldable phones, the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2. Prices and complete specs haven’t been unveiled yet, but Ghanaians can now pre-order these devices.  Tecno has also unveiled pre-order, perks, including gifts. The teaser image indicates that the Phantom V Fold 2 will support a Stylus Pen for input, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Ghanaians can pre-order the device from August 19 to August 24 and will have to pay a deposit of GHS 1,500 (around ₹8,100). Pre-order benefits include a Bluetooth speaker, flask, and travel bag in an awesome gift box plus the Watch 3. Customers will get 15GB MTN data for six months, screen insurance for up to 180 days, and a 12+1 month insurance package.

While Tecno doesn’t talk much about these foldables, the teaser image gives us a good idea of how they look. Hedging around specs aside Phantom V Fold 2 comes with a rectangular camera module on the back panel which houses rear cameras and LED flash. The image also hints at a periscope-telephoto lens.

The rear panel features a distinctive textured design and the main display on the front is accompanied by a hole for the selfie camera, at centre-aligned in position. There is a USB Type-C port at the bottom, and it looks like it has pretty thin side margins.

The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2, on the other hand, has dual-camera cutouts on the large rear cover screen, along with an LED flash. The device has a boxy design similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and is shown in a gold color option.

Phantom V Flip 2, and Phantom V Fold 2 Spotted on BIS Certification; Shows India Launch is Imminent These are the AE10 and AE11 model numbers respectively. Geekbench listing indicates the presence of MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC along with Android 14 on Phantom V Flip 2. Now the latest FCC listing of this phone has shown it to come with a 4,590mAh battery capacity and will support up to 70W fast charging, along its configurations like 8GB RAM + 256 GB.

The V Fold 2 is expected to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC paired with 12GB RAM, running Android 14, and is likely to pack a 5,610mAh battery, an upgrade from the previous model’s 5,000mAh battery. Full specifications should be revealed soon.
