MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate Powers Performance

The Camon 50 Ultra runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset, featuring an octa-core CPU configuration with four performance cores clocked at 2.60GHz and four efficiency cores at 2.0GHz. Geekbench listings confirm the device achieved an OpenCL score of 2913, paired with 8GB of RAM running Android 16 out of the box.

Triple 50MP Camera System with Telephoto

TECNO has equipped the Camon 50 Ultra with a professional-grade camera setup centered around the 50MP Sony LYT700C main sensor—a premium imaging chip delivering exceptional low-light performance and detail. The system includes an 8MP ultra-wide lens for expansive shots and a 50MP 3x telephoto camera for optical zoom portraits.

The front houses a 50MP autofocus selfie camera, ensuring sharp, detailed self-portraits and video calls. The rear camera design reportedly resembles Samsung’s Ultra series aesthetic with vertically stacked individual camera rings for a clean, minimalist appearance.

Industry-Leading Battery and Durability

The 6500mAh battery represents one of the largest capacities in the smartphone market, promising multi-day usage for moderate users. While the 45W fast charging isn’t the fastest available, it provides reasonable charging speeds for the massive cell.

TECNO has certified the device with IP66/68/69/69K ratings, offering comprehensive protection against dust, water immersion up to 1.5 meters, and even high-pressure, high-temperature water jets—making it one of the most durable smartphones in its class.

5 Years of OS Updates Sets New Standard

Perhaps most impressively, TECNO commits to 5 years of OS updates starting with Android 16—matching or exceeding update policies from premium brands like Samsung and Google. This long-term software support significantly extends the device’s usable lifespan and represents a major shift in the budget-to-midrange segment.

Expected Launch and Availability

The TECNO Camon 50 Ultra is expected to launch globally in February 2026, with the device already spotted on Geekbench and certification databases. Regional naming may vary, with some markets potentially receiving it as the “Camon 50 Pro,” though specifications are expected to remain identical.

The device also features a dedicated AI button, NFC support, and comes in multiple color options. With flagship specifications at mid-range pricing, the Camon 50 Ultra aims to disrupt the competitive smartphone market.
