    NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU Specs and Benchmarks leaked Online

    The specifications and benchmarks for NVIDIA’s forthcoming GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU have leaked into the Geekbench 5 database. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU has been discovered within ACER’s next-generation Predator PH16-71 laptop, which boasts some high-end characteristics such as the Core i9-13900HX Raptor Lake-HX CPU with 24 cores and 32 threads. The laptop has 32 GB DDR5 memory and should be a high-end workstation geared for avid gamers.

    The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU has 58 SMs with 7424 cores and a memory arrangement with a 12 GB GDDR6 capacity running through a 192-bit interface.

    The GPU is the Ada AD104 design, which is a scaled-down version of the chip used in the forthcoming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Desktop graphics card.     In terms of performance, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU outperformed the RTX 3080 Ti, which is the fastest Ampere Laptop chip, by 20%. The replacement is roughly 29% faster than NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU, which is respectable, but expect somewhat better performance in the final edition. Having said that, there’s still the RTX 4090, which should take the top spot in the list and be 30-40% faster than the RTX 3080 Ti.

    NVIDIA’s Ada GeForce RTX 40 series laptop GPUs will outperform their predecessors by up to 30% while bringing new capabilities including DLSS3 and improved ray tracing performance. According to the product roadmap, many SKUs will be announced in January in conjunction with Intel’s next Raptor Lake-H CPU family. This suggests that Intel will also unveil its Raptor Lake-H mobility CPU family at CES, and the NVIDIA RTX 40 / Raptor Lake-H combo laptops will be among the first to hit the market by the end of January/beginning of February.

    Octanebench is one of the benchmarks that can maximise a GPU’s capabilities. It is utilised for rendering and can increase a graphic card’s throughput with little to no driver optimization. In other words, consider it the best-case situation for any particular GPU. The NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti was recently discovered in the Octanebench database (through LaptopVideo2Go via Videocardz) and outperforms the previous RTX 3090 Ti by 5%.

    At first glance, this appears to be a decent performance increase from NVIDIA and a reasonable replacement for the RTX 3090 Ti. This is not a gameplay test, but rather a render test. Driver optimizations have a significant impact on games, with only a partial link to peak theoretical FP32 performance. And there’s no way of knowing whether the card used here was heavily OC’d or the vanilla stock version. Before drawing any conclusions, it is always preferable to have a bigger sample size.

    However, the RTX 3090 Ti should continue to outperform the RTX 4070 Ti in aggregate gaming performance for the foreseeable future. However, the faster clock speeds and architectural changes may make this a desirable card for rendering enthusiasts and video professionals.

    NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics cards won’t be available until the first week of January, but a Serbian retailer is already selling them. This particular Serbian store has featured the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming model, which comes with a triple-slot and triple-fan system. This card costs 172229 RSD (with VAT) and converts to roughly $1550 USD. The shop is also offering a 10% cash discount to customers who pay in cash, bringing the price down to $1400 USD.

    This is still significantly more than the MSRP of even the RTX 4080, but a Serbian Redditor explains why. It is stated that Serbia has a duopoly on the technology market, as well as greedy merchants and customs imposing high charges and taxes on tech products. The RTX 4080 is said to cost $1700 US (+$500 US vs MSRP), while the RTX 4090 costs at least $2500 US (+900 US against MSRP). As a result, this pricing is nowhere near the MSRP, which should be less than $1,000 once the retail ban is lifted.

    The graphics cards are claimed to be available for pre-order, but there is presently no indication on pricing, however users expect them to be higher than MSRP.

    The full-fat NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti will use the “Ada Lovelace” AD104-400 GPU setup with 7,680 cores or 60 SMs activated.     At CES 2023, ASUS plans to introduce its next-generation GeForce RTX 40 Noctua Edition graphics cards. According to nApoleon, the head editor of Chiphell, ASUS will debut its next-generation graphics cards designed in conjunction with Noctua at CES 2023. While the actual graphics cards are not specified, we should expect to see the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, RTX 4080, or both during the event.

    NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 40 ‘Ada’ Laptop GPUs will be available at CES 2023, and we have further details in our exclusive. NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 40 ‘Ada’ Laptop GPUs will have five variations, as previously reported. These laptop processors will provide some of the greatest performance and value in each sector and are aimed solely at gamers and enthusiasts. Each segment will see significant improvements in terms of performance and efficiency.

    The flagship NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 16 GB Laptop GPU is at the top of the lineup. One thing to keep in mind is that, while these GPUs have the same naming scheme as desktop cards, they do not have the same characteristics and are drastically reduced, as we have seen in previous generations. It’s simply because a 400W+ GPU cannot be crammed into a compact notebook with restricted power options.

    As a result, the flagship GeForce RTX 4090 will include the NVIDIA AD103 GPU core and TGP variants ranging from 150W to 175W. The 150W TGP target will have a base clock range of 1590 MHz and a boost clock range of 2040 MHz. There’s also a 25W Dynamic Boost that can push the TGPs up to 200W, allowing for boost clocks.

    We also have the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB option, which has a comparable TGP range but uses the AD104 GPU core.

    The GPU will have a TGP range of 150W to 175W, with a base clock of 1.86 GHz and a boost clock of 2.28 GHz for the 150W objective. The RTX 4080 will also get a 25W Dynamic Boost range boost.

    The GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 will have 8 GB of GDDR6 RAM. Both GPUs will have a conventional 115W profile, a TGP of up to 140W, and a Dynamic Boost Range of 25W. On its 115W profile, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 will have a base speed of 2070 MHz and a boost clock of 2175 MHz. The GeForce RTX 4060 may be powered down to 85W. (Plus 10W Dynamic Boost).

    Finally, the entry-level GeForce RTX 4050 6 GB will be available with a 115W-140W TGP option (25W Dynamic Boost profile too). At its 115W TGP range, the GPU will have a boost frequency of up to 2370 MHz. The RTX 4050 can be powered down to 85W for more power-conserving designs (Plus 10W Dynamic Boost).

    According to sources, NVIDIA’s Ada GeForce RTX 40 series laptop GPUs will offer up to a 30% performance boost over their predecessors while also incorporating cutting-edge capabilities such as DLSS3 and better ray tracing capability.     The CES 2023 is just around the corner and major silicon giants will take this opportunity to showcase their next-gen innovations on stage in Las Vegas. As we expect, three of the superpowers in this field, AMD, Intel and NVIDIA, of them will be showcasing their latest innovations and offerings at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023, scheduled at the start of January 2023.

    Here are the key dates of all these three companies and their expected keynotes at the CES 2023:

    NVIDIA – 3rd January 2023, 8:00 AM PT or 9:30 PM IST

    The Green team will be the first this time to address the enthusiasts via a virtual “Special Address” which means it will not be a live stream but a rebroadcasted video and not an in-person address. Last time too the company CEO Jensen Huang didn’t take the stage all by himself and as of now, there’s no confirmation of his presence, we suspect it will not be the CEO with his leather jacket to address the public.

    In terms of what you can expect from NVIDIA, we kind of know, the CES 2023 will be the gateway to introducing the latest RTX 40-series mobile graphics and its one of the very first keynotes because after that laptop OEMs will be able to launch new gaming laptops with these new NVIDIA GPUs.

    Also, gamers will get their hands-on on the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti which has been leaked multiple times in the last few weeks and it is confirmed by rumours the tentative launch date of this GPU will be January 5th, two days post the CES 2023 launch.

    AMD, NVIDIA and Intel's CES 2023 presentations confirmed

    The Red team, in past few years, has been very dominant at the CES and has taken the opportunity to showcase a series of products that has caught the world by storm. Now, its been confirmed by AMD that its CEO Dr. Lisa Su, will be attending the event in person at the Venetian Palazzo Ballroom on January 4th, a day after also we suppose to have a live stream of the event.

    Obviously, the event will enable its amazing CEO to again take the stage and launch new products including the seemingly confirmed Ryzen 7000 non-X desktop series processors, and Ryzen 7000 mobile CPUs alongside RDNA3-based laptop GPUs as well. Considering AMD’s huge diversity in their lineup, the event should be one of the most interesting to keep an eye on.

    Intel

    The only silicon giant left is Intel, who didn’t confirm which day it will host an event, however, it’s confirmed the Blue team will be participating at CES 2023 as well, much like every year. If we do get any info from Intel PR prior to the event, we will surely share it, however, as of now, it’s highly likely Intel is planning its schedule accordingly.

    If you anticipate what’s coming from Intel, you will pretty much know that the Blue team will also be announcing its 13th Gen Core non-K desktop CPU series to counter AMD. Also, Intel will be launching its 13th Gen mobile processor including multiple HX/HK/H/P/U series, so, do keep an eye on that.

    Lastly, they will finally unveil their Core i9-13900KS flagship Raptor Lake processor with 6GHz clock speed which they promised to unveil soon, seemingly at CES 2023.

    Microsoft has just fixed its most recent Windows 11 Gaming Bug 

    According to Bleeping Computer, Microsoft this week removed a compatibility precaution that prevented the Windows 11 22H2 update from being installed on Nvidia GeForce-powered devices that were experiencing performance degradation concerns.

    Microsoft began rolling out its Windows 11 22H2 update in early October, however, it was revealed in November that it caused sluggish and unsteady frame rates in games, lag, and significant CPU underutilization on Nvidia GeForce-based devices. As a result, the corporation put a stop to the upgrade.

    Microsoft later stated that the speed degradation was most likely caused by some programs and games inadvertently activating GPU performance debugging options not intended for average customers. 

    It did not, however, explain why this occurred. It also suggested that games be updated. Meanwhile, in late September, Nvidia published a GeForce Experience upgrade that resolved the issue (albeit by a beta update).

    “This issue was resolved in  KB5020044 and the safeguard hold has been removed as of December 14, 2022,” a statement by Microsoft reads. “Please note, if there are no other safeguards that affect your device, it can take up to 48 hours before the update to Windows 11, version 22H2 is offered.”

    When Microsoft learns that a Windows update is causing a problem on particular systems, it often prevents the update from being installed on impacted (and possibly affected) devices. After the issue is resolved, the software giant lifts the barrier and allows the owners of these PCs to install the Windows update.

    According to Bleeping Computer, Microsoft inserted four more update blocks for Windows 11 version 22H2 since its release, but they have already been deleted. The update appears to have caused issues with Xbox Game Bar Capture, blue screens, printing, and Windows Hello.

    According to preliminary specifications, Nvidia’s upcoming mainstream GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card will be less power-demanding than the company’s high-end products, with a short PCB that will fit easily into tiny PCs. Meanwhile, while this device is anticipated to reach the ranks of the top graphics cards, its performance and specifications may be less than what some may desire.

    Late on Tuesday, hardware leaker @Kopite7Kimi revealed that Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will be built on the AD106 graphics processor with 4352 CUDA cores and 8GB of 18 Gbps GDDR6 memory through a 128-bit interface. The reference card is supposed to use a “very short” printed circuit board, making it easier to install into tiny PCs, and it will consume roughly 220W – hardly much by today’s standards.

    Nvidia has not yet confirmed or denied any of the specifications for its future devices, so take them with a grain of salt.

    Meanwhile, based on the preliminary specifications of Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4070 announced last week, the difference between the RTX 4060 Ti and the RTX 4070 appears to be pretty large. Assuming similar clocks, we’re looking at at least 26% less compute performance from the 4060 Ti, which is significant.

    Given the Ada Lovelace design’s advancements over the Ampere architecture, as well as the higher clocks provided by TSMC’s 4N fabrication technology, we can expect the AD106 GPU and GeForce RTX 4060 Ti board to have much greater compute horsepower than the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. However, its memory bandwidth of 288 GB/s will be 41% lower than that of its predecessor. The 32MB L2 cache should help to reduce the disparity, but the question is whether it will remove situations in which the new GeForce RTX 4060 Ti lags behind the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti at high resolutions and/or with antialiasing enabled.

    Worse, the vanilla GeForce RTX 3060 has 4GB more RAM than the future GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, which is strange. Given the 128-bit memory bus and a small number of CUDA cores, we believe Nvidia developed the AD106, particularly for laptops. Regardless, we were already concerned that the 8GB of VRAM on the 3060 Ti, 3070, and 3070 Ti was becoming a limiting issue two years ago. A mainstream performance card debuting in 2023 with 8GB of memory feels almost insulting to gamers.

    Using AD106 for a GeForce RTX x060 Ti part will, of course, enhance the company’s earnings, but from the perspective of a gamer, what matters is performance and the ability to play upcoming games. We expect the 4060 Ti to easily outperform the present 3060 Ti because to its significantly higher clocks, but we’ll have to wait and see how it compares to other GPUs once it’s released.

    Two new PNY graphics cards, the PNY XLR8 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti and the PNY Stealth Mode GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, were leaked last night, along with their specifications. According to the data, both cards are similar to the RTX 4080 12GB GPU removed by NVIDIA prior to introduction. This is the only firm that previously disclosed the specifications for the RTX 4080 12GB before NVIDIA discontinued the graphics card.

    The NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture is used in PNY’s latest SKU, which has a core frequency of 2310 MHz that can be raised to 2610 MHz, 12GB GDDR6X 192-bit onboard memory, 7680 CUDA cores, and memory bandwidth speeds of 504 GB/s. This data shows that NVIDIA only renamed the RTX 4080 12GB graphics card to the RTX 4070 Ti GPU.

    The original NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 12GB graphics card performed poorly for the level for which it was designed. NVIDIA acknowledged this and opted to remove the card from the series with the intention of renaming it later.

    The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti XLR8 VERTO and VERTO graphics cards will be released by PNY. The two cards differ in that the first will feature better cooling, as seen in the RTX 4080 16GB GPU, and will be more expensive. The second graphics card does away with the RGB seen on the first and will be slimmer in design, aiming for a three-slot configuration rather than 3.3-slots.

    The AD104 GPU architecture features a new compact PCB with VRMs on the right side of the GPU and GDDR6X memory on the left and bottom of the GPU. There are fewer VRMs employed than in prior designs. The image also shows the 12VHPWR connector.

    NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics cards will be available on January 5, 2023. The current price of the most recent graphics cards is unknown. If NVIDIA intends to compete with AMD and their new GPUs, the pricing point will be similar to their competition, ranging between $800 and $900.

Momomo US discovered the listing, which displays the HP OMEN 17 enthusiast gaming laptop, which is outfitted with Intel’s forthcoming 13th Gen Raptor Lake-HX CPUs and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series Laptop GPUs.
