India’s electric vehicle market is bracing for one of its busiest launch calendars yet, with a wave of new models set to arrive across the remainder of 2026 spanning nearly every price bracket, from sub-Rs 10 lakh hatchbacks to premium SUVs pushing past Rs 50 lakh. Here’s a complete rundown of what buyers can expect before the year is out.

Toward the more affordable end, the VinFast VF3 stands out as one of the most keenly awaited launches, promising a compact, boxy tall-boy design priced between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, with an 18.6 kWh battery and the option of a battery-as-a-service subscription model to further lower the upfront cost.

Upcoming EV Launches: Full List

Skoda ElroqYear-end 2026~Rs 45 lakh
Tata AvinyaYear-end 2026Above Rs 30.23 lakh

The mid-size SUV segment is set to get particularly crowded, with the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara offering a choice of 49 kWh or 61 kWh battery packs and a claimed range of 543 km, closely shadowed by a badge-engineered sibling in the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV sharing the same underpinnings and battery options.

At the premium end, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 facelift is expected to arrive with an 84 kWh battery and a WLTP-rated range of 570 km at around Rs 50 lakh, while Skoda’s Elroq brings a choice of three battery sizes — 52 kWh, 59 kWh and 77 kWh — with the largest pack claiming up to 560 km of range, positioning it as a genuine long-distance option for buyers willing to spend close to Rs 45 lakh.

Rounding out the year, Tata’s standalone Avinya brand is expected to debut on the company’s dedicated Gen 3 skateboard EV platform with a distinctive sportback design, while Maruti’s YMC EV brings an MPV body style built on the e Vitara’s shared platform and battery options, both targeting a year-end 2026 arrival.

With this many launches converging within a single calendar year, India’s EV buyers will have more genuine choice across body styles and price points than at any point since the segment began scaling meaningfully a few years ago.
