Kalulu will be earning a salary worth €2 million per season as per his new contract. The 22-year-old has played every game for the Rossoneri this season, and has been able to keep a 90% pass accuracy, while winning over 50% of all duels and tackles.

Over the next few years, the Frenchman is only expected to develop further which will increase his value to the team. And his new deal will keep him at the club until he is at his physical peak at 27 years of age.

AC Milan are also working hard to renew the contract of Rafael Leao, but are struggling to meet his financial demands. This has put clubs like Chelsea on high alert, and could result in a transfer next summer.

Rafael Leao has presented a strong case to be called one of the best players in Serie A, as well as the AC Milan squad. The forward was one of the main contributors to the league title win last season, and his contract with the club expires in 2024.

The AC Milan board has been talking with the player to get him to renew. However, they haven’t been able to reach an agreement with him as things stand.

AC Milan director Paolo Maldini spoke about the Portugal international and whether he would be sold recently.

“Leao has a difficult situation deriving from the move to Lille, this is affecting him a lot and has meant that our interlocutors have often changed. Rafa, however, is grateful to us and I am interested in what he tells us,” he said.

“Rafa understands that his path in the next few years must be at Milan, he understands it and tells us. Then there will be a negotiation but we know that strong players must be paid for their value.

“If the team grows further, Rafael Leao will have everything for To compete to the maximum. Then of course, there are no non-transferable players for all the teams in the world. If we can say that there is a good chance of finding an agreement with him and Sporting? Yes, with him yes.”

AC Milan 2-1 Napoli: Huge win puts Azzurri on top of Serie A table

Napoli defeated AC Milan 2-1 to go to the top of the table with their fifth straight win in Serie A. The Rossoneri have had their 22-game unbeaten streak ended, as the Azzurri have seemingly started to mount a title challenge with their impressive performances.

Matteo Politano scored the opener for the visitors from the penalty spot, but Olivier Giroud was able to pull one back. The Frenchman has scored in three consecutive league appearances for the first time since July 2020.

After a timid first half, Sergino Dest was subbed on at half time and he took out Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to concede the penalty. Olivier Giroud was able to score an equaliser from Theo Hernandez’s cross, but substitute Giovanni Simeone scored from the bench once more to give his side an important three points.

Over the course of the season, this could prove to be a massive victory for Napoli as they look to reclaim the Scudetto. As of now, Milan are in fifth place, three points behind Luciano Spaletti’s side.

The international break will give them time to recover and regroup, and potentially get back to a good run of form. Inter Milan and Juventus are five and seven points behind Napoli respectively, while Roma are four points behind at 13 from seven games.

  • Rafael Leao contract update: Renewal yet to be agreed despite deal running out in 2024

Rafael Leao contract update: Renewal yet to be agreed despite deal running out in 2024

AC Milan forward Rafael Leao has been the subject of intense transfer speculation over the last few months. The Portugal international was a vital part of the squad as the Rossoneri reclaimed the Serie A title last season.

He scored 11 goals and provided eight assists, guiding the team to the top of the table. But with his contract running out in 2024, a move away has been strongly rumoured. Chelsea were one of the most heavily rumoured clubs interested in signing the forward this summer. However, nothing came to pass this year.

Paolo Maldini speaks on Rafael Leao’s future

“The renewal is an issue that we faced many months ago. Rafa knows that to become stronger than now the solution is to stay with us,” the Milan legend told Sport Mediaset.

“Chelsea’s officially written offer did not arrive but on an informal level it did. Of course, it was rejected.”

Rafael Leao has a release clause in his contract worth €150 million, which is not likely to be matched any time soon. As of now, Milan are struggling to renew his contract despite being able to agree new deals with Sandro Tonali and Fikayo Tomori recently.

If they are not able to extend his stay, they might be forced to sell him in 2023 when the transfer window opens.

Sandro Tonali has signed a new contract with AC Milan that will keep him at the club until 2027. He is considered an essential part of the project, and has been secured for the foreseeable future.

The midfielder initially lowered his salary to join the club, earning around €1.3 million per season. The new deal sees him earn a well deserved raise up to €2.5 million, since his amortization fee has been paid off in order to make his transfer permanent.

“Hi guys, I’m delighted with my contract renewal and to have extended my stay at Milan. You know how deep my love is for these colours. I thank you for the support you provide us. With your backing, we can achieve great things,” Tonali said to AC Milan fans via Instagram.

Last season, the Italian played a very big part in helping the Rossoneri win the Scudetto. And he has continued to perform well this season too, becoming a fan-favourite in the process.

Milan have also renewed the contract of Rade Krunic until 2025, alongside Sandro Tonali. Fikayo Tomori has also been rewarded with a new contract, having performed brilliantly since his transfer from Chelsea. After their 2-1 win over Sampdoria, the defending champions are level on points with table toppers Napoli

Sergino Dest to join Milan on loan until 2023 with buy option

AC Milan have reached an agreement with Barcelona to sign Sergino Dest on a loan deal. The player is expected to complete his medical for the transfer soon, and once that is done, he will be officially announced as a new signing for the Rossoneri.

A transfer to Manchester United, which would have seen him reunite with former Ajax manager Erik Ten Hag was rumoured. However, the two clubs were not able to reach an agreement for his move.

Sergino Dest to join AC Milan in the coming days

The USMNT international made the move to Camp Nou in 2020 but never had a chance to break into the first team on a regular basis. With Xavi Hernandez leaving him out of his plans altogether, he is now set for a renewed challenge with the Serie A champions.

The two clubs have also agreed to include a buy option worth €20 million in his deal. It is not mandatory, and has the option for a permanent contract until 2027. As a result, if he performs well, he could become a long-term member of the squad.

The injury to Alessandro Florenzi could have forced Milan to sign Sergino Dest. The Italian will be out for a minimum of eight weeks with a hamstring injury. And while he recovers, the youngster will be able to provide cover for club captain Davide Calabria.

  • Japhet Tanganga prefers AC Milan move despite Nottingham Forest bid worth €25m

Japhet Tanganga prefers AC Milan move despite Nottingham Forest bid worth €25m

Japhet Tanganga is being discussed between Tottenham and Nottingham Forest as a potential signing. The Premier League returnees have submitted a €25 million offer for the defender, but the player has not yet given the green light to the move.

This is because his priority is a move to AC Milan, who are still in the race to sign him. The Serie A champions are pushing to sign him as things stand, and an agreement is not close between Forest and Spurs right now.

Japhet Tanganga wants AC Milan over Nottingham Forest

The size of the club and the presence of Champions League football are two of the main reasons behind Japhet Tanganga pushing for a move to AC Milan.

His progress has been hindered by injuries, and with the arrival of Clement Lenglet, his opportunities have been further limited. So, he is set to be moved on by the end of the transfer window. But, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have restarted talks for the centre-back.

Tottenham want to include an obligation to buy the player after a loan spell, while Milan want only an option worth €25 million in the deal.

Fikayo Tomori is one of the central defenders that has found a lot of success since his move to San Siro from Chelsea. Tanganga could follow in his footsteps if an agreement can be reached between the two clubs.

Sandro Tonali linked with £50m Arsenal transfer rumours

Arsenal have been linked with the transfer of AC Milan star Sandro Tonali recently. The Rossoneri have made it clear that he isn’t for sale, but the Gunners are planning to launch a £50 million bid to sign him this summer.

They have been linked with Youri Tielemans of Leicester City, but have failed to get the transfer done. However, Fabio Vieira and Oleksandr Zinchenko have made the move to the club, and will provide options in midfield even though Zinchenko played mostly as a left-back under Pep Guardiola.

Sandro Tonali to leave AC Milan for Arsenal?

The young regista helped his side to the Serie A title this past season, and is seen as a vital part of the future by the board. He is only one year into his five-year deal with AC Milan. As a result, the club is under no pressure to sell him at all.

The fact that he is happy at San Siro, and will be playing Champions League football, is also one of the key points to note. So, if Arsenal want the player to join them, they will have to use their financial leverage to convince him to make the switch.

Milan have already lost a key midfielder in Franck Kessie, and will be determined to not let anyone else go this late in the transfer window. But, Arsenal are still exploring the possibilities of a deal for Sandro Tonali within the coming week.
