In T20 World Cup 2022, the Netherlands and Sri Lanka have qualified for the Super 12 stage. Sri Lanka won against the Netherlands on Thursday but UAE won by 7 runs against Namibia which helped Netherlands sail through and fixed its position in the Super 12. Two games are left in Round 1 and two teams will move ahead to the Super-12.
Four teams will be giving their best to take the top 2 spots of their respective groups.
- GROUP A- Netherlands vs Sri Lanka at 9:30 AM: SriLanka won by 16 runs
- GROUP A- Namibia vs UAE at 1:30 PM: UAE won by 7 runs
- GROUP B- Ireland vs WestIndies at 9:30 AM on Friday
- GROUP B- Scotland vs Zimbabwe at 1:30 PM on Friday
. Namibia is already out of the tournament. In Group A, the Netherlands is at the highest spot after the team won their first two games. Namibia is in the second position and Sri Lanka is in the third spot. UAE is already out of the group[ stage after they lost their both games. The Netherlands is just a step away from sealing its place to the top 12.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka and Namibia need to win their next games to get a better Net Run rate.
In the next fixtures of Group A:
- Sri Lanka will face the Netherlands
- Namibia will clash against eliminated side UAE
In Group B, any of the four teams have the capacity to make it to the Super-12. Each of the four teams has already won and lost a game, the only thing separating them is the Net Run Rate. Scotland is at the top followed by Zimbabwe, West Indies, and Ireland.
All these four teams will try to play to the best of their potential to get into Super 12. West Indies will face Ireland while Scotland will clash against Zimbabwe.
