Pakistan beat New Zealand by 7 wickets and qualified for the finale. Shaheen Afridi shined by restricting the opponent team to 152/4. babar Azam and Mohammad Azam’s run stand was 105 runs which helped them achieve this total. This is the first time that Pakistan is going to the finale since 2009.

Pakistan vs New Zealand: Match Highlights

Pakistan’s star players Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, and skipper Babar Azam performed well throughout the tournament which helped the team with their victory. Shaheed Afridi restricted New Zealand to a total of 152/4 in the first innings. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan together put up a run stand of 105 runs. Pakistan showed a terrific batting performance. Babar Azam scored 53 and Mohammad Rizwan mustered 57. Shaheen Afridi picked two wickets giving only 24 runs. Shan Masood in the end helped the team to get over 153-3 with five deliveries still left. Earlier, they lost the toss but Shaheen Afridi’s performance boosted their confidence. From New Zealand, Finn Allen smashed a four in the first delivery. Devon Conway got runout By Shadab Khan from a direct hit after scoring 21 runs. Glenn Phillips got bowled out by spinner Mohammad Nawaz for a six later. Kane Williamson, departure at 46 runs, and Mitchell continued to an unbeaten 53 off 35 balls. Rizwan got dismissed after he smashed a half-century. Mohammad Harris came moving forward hitting a 30 and Shah Masood sealed the victory at 153-3 with five balls still remaining.
