Chargeasap launches Zeus on Kickstarter, the world’s smallest 270W GaN USB-C Charger

Game-changing 270W portable GaN charger that can quickly charge 4 devices: laptops, smartphones & all USB devices at the same time

Sydney-based consumer electronics brand, Chargeasap, known for its incredibly successful crowdfunding campaigns including the Flash Graphene Powerbank, Infinity Magnetic cables, and Omega portable GaN charger, is pleased to announce its latest innovation, Zeus, the much-upgraded version of the previous Omega 200W charger. As the world’s smallest 270W GaN charger capable of charging four devices at the same time this truly is a game changer.

Zeus will launch at 8 am PST/4 pm GMT on the 8^th of November on Kickstarter and the 60-day campaign will conclude on the 7^th of January. The rewards for Zeus 270W, which will be available in white, start at $109/£96 with the full RRP being $219/£193 after the campaign concludes. Shipping is expected to be in May 2023.

Each of the Zeus chargers is unique, in that it utilizes four of the industry-leading Navitas GaNFast NV6127 Power ICs which miniaturizes silicon components found in traditional chargers. Gallium Nitride (GaN) is a semiconductor material that replaces traditional silicon-based power adapters allowing for higher efficiency, less heat, and the ability to handle a higher current. GaN ICs are over 10 times smaller than traditional ICs.

The Zeus is also the smallest 270W charger available on the market and is 45% lighter than industry leaders at only 320g/0.7lb. This compares favorably with competitors such as the Hyperjuice 245W charger, which although less powerful, weighs in at 582g (1.28lb). Zeus is capable of quickly charging a laptop (MacBook Pro), a tablet (iPad Pro), a smartphone (iPhone), and mobile devices [AirPods/Apple watch] simultaneously. It includes 3 USB-C ports, compatible with the latest Macbook Pro 16” (140W), and one USB-A port.

With the number of electrical devices people currently use on the go rapidly increasing, travel space is crucial as consumers demand smaller, more portable gadgets and ways of keeping them better charged for the “working on the go” culture. With more of us now working remotely, keeping devices charged and ready to power up is more important than ever.

The Zeus 270W includes Chargeasap’s patent-pending 2-way foldable US prongs, helping to cut down on clutter and cords, and can be adjusted at a 90° or 180° angle, allowing users to fit the Zeus charger into any tough-to-fit wall plug, be that floor or wall. Zeus also features a 0.96” OLED screen to display real-time charging volts and amps keeping users fully informed. The Zeus is so small, at just 90x42x50mm/3.54”x2.17”x1.96”, it’s comparable to a box of mints.

With 2 x 100W, 1 x 140W USB-C, and 1 x 36W USB-A Power Delivery, a single Zeus 270W charger can power 3 laptops simultaneously, and at full speed (1 x Macbook Pro 16″ 2021, 2 x Macbook Pro 13″). This is a real game changer in charger technology making it the first portable charger that can output 270W. By incorporating only industry-leading components Chargeasap has ensured that Zeus delivers superior performance in a pocket-sized charger.

The dense circuit board is surrounded by high-density thin heat sinks to aid in heat dissipation and an industry-first graphene ribbon sheet that is strategically wrapped around the major charger components to further aid in cooling. The charger is then wrapped in a minimalist fire-resistant polycarbonate enclosure to complete the efficient design.

The Chargeasap 270W Zeus GaN charger Kickstarter campaign commences on Kickstarter at 8am PST on 8^th November with rewards starting at $109/£96. Full RRP will be $219/£193. It will be available in white. The 60 day campaign will run until 7^th January with shipping expected to start May 2023.
