SwitchBot Smart Home 2.0: AI Robots Transform Daily Living

SwitchBot unveiled its ambitious Smart Home 2.0 vision at CES 2026, showcasing AI-powered robotics that sense, understand, and act autonomously. The lineup includes the onero H1 household robot with 22 degrees of freedom, 3D facial recognition locks, and an 18-gram wearable “second brain”—redefining what smart homes can accomplish.

SwitchBot’s Smart Home 2.0: Embodied AI Ecosystem

The star attraction is onero H1, an accessible humanoid-style household robot designed for tasks requiring human-like manipulation. Built with 22 degrees of freedom and an on-device OmniSense VLA model, it combines visual perception, depth sensing, and tactile feedback to understand object position, shape, and interaction states—critical for grasping, pushing, opening, and organizing.

Unlike single-purpose robots, onero H1 learns and adapts across different scenarios, coordinating with SwitchBot’s existing task-specific robots as an intelligent foreman for home automation. The robot handles contact-intensive household chores that have traditionally resisted automation, from cooking assistance to laundry management.

Security Meets Biometrics: Lock Vision Series

SwitchBot enters security with the Lock Vision Series—the world’s first deadbolt smart lock using 3D structured-light facial recognition. Over 2,000 infrared projection points create precise 3D facial maps, making photo or video spoofing impossible. Integrated liveness detection ensures authentication accuracy even with glasses or makeup.

The Lock Vision Pro variant adds contactless palm-vein recognition using near-infrared sensors, reading unique internal vascular patterns for secure access when hands are wet, dirty, or occupied. Both models require door installation rather than retrofitting, with rechargeable 10,000mAh batteries lasting six months.

AI MindClip: Your Portable Second Brain

The AI MindClip extends Smart Home 2.0 intelligence beyond physical spaces. Weighing just 18 grams, this wearable continuously captures meetings, conversations, and everyday moments, transforming them into structured summaries, actionable to-dos, and searchable knowledge bases.

Acting as a “second brain” powered by subscribed cloud AI, it supports over 100 languages and allows users to retrieve past discussions, forgotten details, and learning materials on demand. For professionals managing constant information overload, MindClip turns fragmented conversations into usable insights.

The SwitchBot Weather Station features a 7.5-inch E-Ink display showing air quality, six-day forecasts, and AI-generated daily briefings with inspirational quotes. Calendar integration enables automated scene switching for seamless smart home routines.
