Swiggy, the Indian food delivery and quick commerce platform, today announced the launch of Swiggy Builders Club, a new program designed to enable developers, startups, and enterprises to build AI-native commerce experiences on its platforms. This initiative marks an expansion of Swiggy’s infrastructure, moving towards an ecosystem model for artificial intelligence integrations.

The Builders Club is structured as a community, partnership, and enablement program, providing external entities with access to Swiggy’s AI commerce stack. This follows Swiggy’s earlier launch of its Merchant Commerce Platform (MCP), which opened core commerce infrastructure. The Builders Club is positioned as the ecosystem layer around this infrastructure, aiming to define how external partners engage with Swiggy and scale promising integrations.

Swiggy : Expanding API Access and Capabilities

Upon launch, the Builders Club will offer access to three MCP servers and over 18 API tools spanning Swiggy Food, Instamart, and Dineout. This access will allow approved developers to create AI agents, copilots, assistants, and other integrations capable of performing real-world transactions such as ordering food, purchasing groceries, or booking dining experiences.

The program emphasizes community, partnerships, and skills development, operating on an invite-led access model. This approach is intended for developers, founders, and enterprise teams seeking to integrate with Swiggy’s AI-first environment.

Leveraging AWS for Enterprise-Grade AI

The Swiggy Builders Club is built on Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) enterprise-grade AI stack. It utilizes Amazon Bedrock for unified API access to foundation models from providers like Anthropic, Meta, and Mistral AI. The platform also incorporates AWS Trainium, designed for cost-effective AI training and improved inference performance, alongside Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, a framework-agnostic service for developing agentic AI applications.

Madhusudhan Rao, CTO of Swiggy (https://www.swiggy.com/), commented on the strategic shift. “With MCP, we opened our commerce infrastructure to AI systems. Builders Club represents the next step, extending that access to developers and enterprises to build AI commerce applications at scale on top of Swiggy. We are evolving into an ecosystem orchestrator, providing a foundational layer for AI-native commerce innovation. Built on AWS, with Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore, this provides our builder community with enterprise-grade infrastructure from day one.”

Sandeep Dutta, President, AWS India and South Asia, highlighted the collaboration. “Swiggy Builders Club represents the next evolution of AI-powered commerce, and we’re proud that AWS AI services are enabling this developer community. By combining Amazon Bedrock, AWS Trainium, and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, we’re giving builders the infrastructure to innovate, whether they’re startups experimenting with new ideas or enterprises scaling production AI agents. This partnership demonstrates how open, flexible AI infrastructure can accelerate innovation across India’s digital economy, and we continue to track such industry developments.”

Application Process and Benefits for Developers

The Builders Club is open to developers, startups, and enterprises. Participants can apply for access, undergo a review process, and then proceed to build and demonstrate their applications. The invite-led system is intended to maintain quality and foster early community momentum.

Beyond API access, participants will receive benefits including generous rate limits, direct engineering support, co-branding opportunities for notable projects, and growth partnership support for successful use cases. The program also offers a pathway to participate in a growing ecosystem centered around agentic commerce, skills, and future platform distribution.
