What Did Sunil Pal Actually Say?
When asked why he has never appeared on Kapil Sharma’s Netflix show, Sunil Pal explained that Kapil has invited him multiple times and shows him a lot of love and respect — but Sunil said he would only go when there is genuine work for him.
Then came the punchline. He quipped that he will only go when Kapil truly needs him, adding that the show already resembles a langar — with half of Punjab already sitting on it.
Classic Sunil Pal — sharp, funny, and impossible to ignore.
The Comment in Context
His comment was not meant to disrespect Kapil Sharma but was more of a playful observation about the show’s crowded lineup of performers and regular faces. It’s the kind of insider banter that only fellow comedians can get away with — and Sunil pulled it off masterfully.
Many interpreted it as a light-hearted critique of the show’s reach and content style rather than a serious attack, and the remark underscores how television comedy shows often become subjects of banter among entertainers themselves.
