Ganesh Chaudhari discussed Unreal Engine 5 and more at the event

Attendees at this year’s India Game Developers Conference were invited to an insightful talk hosted by Epic Games, featuring Sumo Digital India’s very own Technical Manager, Ganesh Chaudhari.

Ganesh appeared alongside other industry tech experts to discuss in detail how Sumo India’s studios are extending and harnessing Unreal Engine towards creating games, targeting particular or multiple platforms, and looking at the creator tools at the studio’s disposal.

The three-day conference, which was held at the Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre from 3-5th November, had thousands of attendees with over 50 expo stalls and over 30 investors and publishers waiting to greet them.

“It was fantastic representing Sumo India and seeing some of the best in the Indian game development community in person,” said Ganesh Chaudhari, Technical Manager at Sumo India. “The attendees were enthusiastic about the possibilities and current state of game development in India, as well as discussing what skills they wanted to develop across disciplines.

“Some of their questions blew my mind and they were ready with pitch decks and cool samples of their work. The studios and companies covered a wide game development spectrum – the event had talks for all discipline tracks and attendees kept asking for more!

“The talks and panels were great and were balanced between overviews, specifics, workshops and trendspotting. The current state of Indian game development showcased at IGDC and the attendees’ enthusiasm bodes well for the Indian games ecosystem.

“It was super fun to meet everyone at IGDC 2022, the events and catch ups from this year’s event were fabulous.”

Sumo India also had its own stand at the expo, where attendees were able to talk to people from the studio, as well as take part in a Team Sonic Racing competition with prizes up for grabs.
