There’s no hiding of the fact that NVIDIA is suffering from disastrous availability situation for its RTX 30-series GPUs. From the announcement in September 2020 to now February 2021, the situation saw no improvement is further going to degrade as per reports.

The availability is to worsen even more between now and the end of March. As per the reports from Alternate, a European retailer that operates in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, the shortage of raw materials as well as the NVIDIA chips for fewer RTX 30 cards hitting the market is to blame for by manufacturers.

Also as we know most GPUs are manufactured in China, the factories remain closed because of the Chinese New Year celebrations. Though NVIDIA said the stock situation would improve in Q2 of 2021, namely by the start of May, before that the market has absolutely no RTX 30-series GPUs or selling at sky-high prices.

Alternate has went on to claim that there is no possibility of getting an RTX 3080 or an RTX 3060 Ti this quarter, however, stocks of RTX 3070 and RTX 3090 could see a mild improvement. Still, it is assumed that even if stock improves, the prices would go up due to increased transportation costs.

Obviously, this is a hard time for gamers, as even the prices of budget NVIDIA GPUs like GTX 1650, 1650 Super, 1660 Super and other have received price bumps as well, making this the worst situation ever! It has become increasingly difficult to recommend any GPUs at the moment whether its NVIDIA’s or AMD’s, so if you do need one, wait for few months.
