Still Shining — Park Jinyoung & Kim Min Ju’s First Meeting Will Give You Chills

If first love stories are your weakness, JTBC’s brand-new drama Still Shining just dropped something that’ll hit you right in the chest. Fresh stills of GOT7’s Park Jinyoung and IZ*ONE’s Kim Min Ju have been released, and honestly? The tension is already unreal.

What Is Still Shining About?

Still Shining follows two young people who once meant everything to each other — and then didn’t. They fall in love during the summer of their senior year of high school, share a painful breakup at 20, and then fate dares to bring them back together at 30. It’s the kind of story that feels familiar, emotional, and completely impossible to look away from.

The First Encounter — A Moment Frozen in Glass

The newly released stills capture the exact moment Yeon Tae Seo (Park Jinyoung) and Mo Eun Ah (Kim Min Ju) first lay eyes on each other. He’s just transferred to her school, no uniform on, looking like someone who doesn’t quite belong yet. She’s in the library — alone, in uniform, quietly studying. Then, through a glass window, their eyes meet.

He stares blankly. She seems to recognise him. And that tiny detail? It’s the drama’s first big mystery.

Why This Drama Deserves Your Attention

Park Jinyoung has already proven his acting chops in previous Korean dramas, and Kim Min Ju brings a quiet intensity that makes her impossible to ignore on screen. Together, they’re playing characters whose connection spans more than a decade — which means viewers are getting both the butterflies of first love and the ache of what comes after.

Korean romance dramas have a long tradition of “fateful encounter” storytelling, and Still Shining seems to be taking that formula and adding genuine emotional depth. The glass window visual alone is doing a lot of heavy lifting — it’s intimate without being loud, and that’s exactly the kind of restraint great K-dramas are known for.
