Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will include fast travel as well as other traversal options to help players get from point A to point B as quickly as possible. While Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order received positive reviews, it was not without criticism. Many Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order players were irritated by the lack of fast travel in particular. Respawn has used this opportunity to ensure that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor does not suffer from the same issue.

The lack of fast travel would not be a major issue for most Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order players who progressed through the game in a relatively normal manner. It became an issue when players wanted to go the extra mile and try to 100% the game, collect every collectible, or otherwise explore every nook and cranny in the game. The lack of fast travel was compensated for by players using repeated deaths to transport back to the Singer Mantis, but the journey could still be painful.

According to Respawn Entertainment, travelling should be much easier in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. In the upcoming issue of Play Magazine, game director Stig Asmussen discusses Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. According to Asmussen, the upcoming release will include a point-to-point fast travel system, similar to what is commonly found in modern games with open worlds or large map areas.

Asmussen confirms that fast travel isn’t the only mode of transportation available in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

According to Asmussen, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will also include mounts, which are creatures that can be ridden between points. That is, players will not only be able to ride a mount from point A to point B, but they will also be able to fast travel back to point A and vice versa. It will be much easier to find collectibles.

Of course, it’s unfortunate that players will have to wait a little longer to try out Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s new traversal features. EA recently confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been delayed six weeks and will now be released on April 28. Unfortunately, there are no fast travel options to bring April forward.
