Spotify is undoubtedly one of the most popular music streaming services available. The Swedish media streaming firm is trying to go neck-to-neck with Apple’s Music service. With the company releasing a lot of new features this year, it seems that it is moving in the right direction as a music streaming service should. But according to recent reports the media streaming firm is doing something interesting. According to sources, Spotify is currently testing its own version of stories.

For the masses stories have been a part of popular social media platforms. We have seen them on Snapchat for as long as one can remember. Even social media giants like Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and even Twitter in one way or another have adopted to stories. But Spotify is a music streaming service. So it is really surprising for it to be testing out this feature.

Many on internet after hearing this have their mixed reviews. Some are even confused as to why a music streaming service requires stories in the first place. According to sources, the feature is still in the testing phase. It works just as any other stories feature works; with you being able to either tap or swipe left or right.

Since the feature is still in beta testing some lucky users might get a taste of this new feature. But nonetheless it will soon be available to general masses. Sources claim that spotify will be launching the feature for both the Android and iOS version of its app. A music streaming service, launching stories mode for its app is both hilarious and awesome. It will be interesting to see how the company decides to move forward.
