Spooky in Love: Ong Seong Wu Turns Ice-Cold on Park Eun Bin After Rejection

Some confessions change everything — even the ones that get turned down. “Spooky in Love” just proved that a friendship can’t simply reset itself, no matter how many years it’s survived.

What Just Happened with Spooky in Love?

Kang Min Hwan (Ong Seong Wu) confessed his feelings to Cheon Yeo Ri (Park Eun Bin) on the day of her engagement party, hoping to stop her from marrying Ma Gang Wook (Yang Se Jong). She turned him down flat, saying she’d never seen him as anything more than a friend.

The Cold Aftermath

New stills show just how much has shifted. At a glamorous business event both attend as CEOs, Kang Min Hwan and Cheon Yeo Ri barely acknowledge each other — just distant glances across the room, a stark contrast to their once-easy dynamic. It’s the kind of quiet, awkward tension that says more than any argument could.

Why It Hits Different

“Spooky in Love” reworks the beloved premise of Spellbound, the 2011 horror rom-com about a woman who sees ghosts and the man drawn into her chaos. Swapping the original’s magician for a ghost-fearing prosecutor gives the remake its own identity while keeping that irresistible mix of scares and slow-burn romance.
