Spirit: Beards, Badges and a Diwali Showdown: Spirit Has a New Date

Prabhas fans just got a big update and a fresh poster to go with it. Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s cop drama Spirit is no longer releasing on Eid 2027. The makers have dodged a box office clash with Salman Khan’s Monster, but they’ve landed in an even bigger one.

The New Poster

Vanga dropped a fresh poster showing Prabhas in a full-grown beard, wearing a cap over goggles. The poster also carries the new release date.

A Diwali Clash With Ramayana Part Two

By moving to Diwali, Spirit is now set to face the Ranbir Kapoor and Yash starrer Ramayana Part Two. Both are among the most anticipated films in Indian cinema, so the box office stakes are huge.

There’s a twist, though. Vanga and Ranbir Kapoor share a strong bond from the 2023 blockbuster Animal, and they’re set to reunite for Animal Park. Considering that off-screen camaraderie, the report suggests one of these two tentpole films could get pushed to avoid a direct clash.

Language Reach

Spirit is planned for release in several languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin) and Korean. That wide reach shows how big the makers are aiming.
