“SPAGHETTI” Makes History: LE SSERAFIM and j-hope Break UK Chart Records

LE SSERAFIM and BTS’s j-hope just cooked up something special! Their collaborative single “SPAGHETTI” has officially become the longest-charting song on the UK’s Official Singles Chart for both artists, marking a significant milestone in their global music careers.

SPAGHETTI: Chart Performance Breakdown

Why This Achievement Matters

The UK Official Singles Chart is considered the British equivalent of Billboard’s Hot 100, making it one of the most prestigious music rankings globally. For the week ending November 19, “SPAGHETTI” spent its third consecutive week on the chart at position 95, surpassing the previous two-week record that both LE SSERAFIM and j-hope had achieved with their earlier releases.

This accomplishment is particularly impressive considering the competitive nature of the UK market, where K-pop acts often struggle to maintain longevity beyond initial debut weeks. The collaboration demonstrates the growing global appetite for K-pop and the powerful synergy between HYBE artists.

The Success Story Behind “SPAGHETTI”

“SPAGHETTI” debuted at an impressive No. 46 on the UK Official Singles Chart, marking LE SSERAFIM’s highest ranking on the chart and surpassing their 2024 hit “CRAZY,” which peaked at No. 83. The track’s staying power proves that it’s more than just a flashy debut—it has genuine replay value and international appeal.

According to Soompi’s official report, this marks a career milestone for both acts, showcasing their growing influence in Western markets.

Global Domination Beyond the UK

“SPAGHETTI” isn’t just breaking records in Britain. The single topped iTunes charts in at least 55 regions including Japan, Singapore, and France, while charting in a total of 80 countries. On Spotify’s Global Top Songs chart, the track peaked at No. 19, becoming LE SSERAFIM’s first-ever top 20 entry on the platform.

The music video also achieved remarkable success, surpassing 10 million YouTube views within just 22 hours of release—a testament to the massive anticipation surrounding this HYBE family collaboration.

What Makes the Collaboration Work?

This marks j-hope’s first-ever feature on a K-pop girl group track, making it a historic moment for BTS ARMYs and FEARNOTs (LE SSERAFIM’s fandom) alike. The BTS member co-wrote the song, bringing his signature style to LE SSERAFIM’s bold, experimental sound.

LE SSERAFIM member SAKURA explained that the song “expresses LE SSERAFIM’s charm that you just can’t get away from, like spaghetti that’s stuck in your teeth.” The playful concept combined with intense production creates an addictive listening experience that keeps fans coming back.
