South Africa vs Bangladesh : De Kock’s Masterful 174-Knock Propels South Africa to Victory Over Bangladesh

De Kock didn’t do it all alone. Aiden Markram, who contributed 60 runs from 69 balls, played a vital supporting role. The pair’s partnership of 131 runs off 137 deliveries helped steady the Proteas after early wickets. Their combination allowed South Africa to build a strong foundation for a mammoth total.

The hero of the hour, Henrich Klaasen, continued to impress. He smashed 90 runs in just 49 balls, playing a blistering innings that added to Bangladesh’s woes. Together with David Miller, who remained unbeaten with 34 runs from 15 balls, Klaasen’s explosive hitting at the death pushed South Africa to a commanding 382/5 in their allotted 50 overs.

Bangladesh’s bowlers were put to the test by the South African batsmen. Shakib Al Hasan’s “fully fit” return to the team couldn’t stem the Proteas’ onslaught. The Bangladeshi bowlers found it challenging to contain the aggressive South African batsmen, and the high score posted by the Proteas was indeed a formidable target to chase.
