The Sony Xperia 5 V, speculated to be the successor to last year’s flagship model Sony Xperia 5 IV, has recently received some notoriety with its promotional clip. The company has now revealed the day of the smartphone’s introduction.
Sony Xperia 5 V specifications and expected pricing
Following the Xperia 1 V and Xperia 10 V, this will be the third smartphone the company releases this year. Previous speculations suggested that the Xperia 5 V would come with a dual-camera setup on the back and most likely be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
The brief teaser video for the event commends the phone’s camera performance in both daytime and nighttime scenarios.
The Xperia 5 V will include a dual camera configuration, according to the leaked promotional film from last month.
There are rumors that the Xperia 5 V will have a matte finish and Sony’s branding on the rear. A Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is anticipated to be installed in it.
In addition, the next smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and run the Android 13 operating system. A 3.5mm audio jack will be present. The smartphone will have 33W fast charging capability and 16GB of RAM upon release.
Sony unveiled the Xperia 1 V and Xperia 10 V earlier in May of this year. The European market saw the release of the Xperia 1 V, which retails for about Rs. 1,14,700. At debut, the smartphone was only offered in two colors: green and black.
