The console maker has finally revealed its new PS5 controller after announcing the key specs of its next-gen console. The new controller has got a substantial redesign over the previous DualShock-branded controllers, it has totally changed the design perspective and has been named – ‘DualSense’.

At the first look, you might think the design to be quite similar to the Xbox Series X controller with a huge similarity with the previous DualShock design approach. The new design and two-tone look make it even more interesting also the controller’s weight has been reduced while retaining a strong battery inside.

Sony has made other changes as well, particularly in terms touch and feedback response. The new adaptive triggers into the L2 and R2 buttons makes you feel the tension of actions like when drawing a bow to shoot and arrow or feel the grittiness of driving through mud, etc.

DualSense marks a radical departure from our previous controller offerings and captures just how strongly we feel about making a generational leap with PS5. When Microsoft has added a ‘Share’ button into to its new controller, Sony has removed it, replacing it with a new ‘Create’ button. This one still allows the concept of sharing, and a whole new concept of online content creation which is made even easier by incorporating a microphone to enable users to quickly jump into a chat or stream games.
