Sony has already announced the release of their next-gen console PlayStation 5. The console will be released in late 2020. There has been a lot of hype surrounding this next-gen console. But there hasn’t been enough details released yet.
Until now, we only know that the console will be a black-and-white box with rounded angles and fins on the top. The DualSense Controller will also have the same colour theme as black-and-white.
Some of the key features of PS5 will be:
- Up to 8K resolution
- 4K games at 60 fps
- Ray tracing
- Fast-loading SSD
- Up to 120 frames per second.

- 8-core 3.5 GHz AMD Zen 2 CPU
- 10.3 teraflop AMD RDNA 2 GPU
- 16 GB GDDR6 memory
- 825 GB custom SSD
PS5 price leaked
Now coming to the most anticipated part! There have been numerous rumours about the price of PS5. Sony hasn’t officially revealed the release price yet.
The last generation of consoles, PS4 was launched at $399 and the Xbox One was released at $499. So it is expected to be in the same range.
In July 2020, Amazon’s PS5 page went live but there was no option to pre-order the console at that time. Now the PS5 has once again appeared on a famous French retail website, Carrefour.
The Carrefour’s website displayed both the Standard and Digital editions of PS5. The prices were displayed in Euros.
The Digital Edition of the PS5 was listed for €399 and the Standard Edition was listed for €499.
There has been a lot of debate on this matter. People were excited to know how much the PS5 will pinch their pocket. This price leaks by French retail website Carrefour is most probably accurate. So you can now start planning to buy the PS5 when it is up for pre-order or released in the last quarter of 2020.
