At the time of the Keynote presentation of Sony at CES 2022, the company stepped on the Vision-S EV that we have seen last year, along with the new idea SUV dubbed Vision-S 02.

It is true that the launching of Sony Mobility is definitely a big surprise, there is a new company that is starting and also will focus mainly on electric vehicles. When there is a tech industry that has been focusing for several years on whether or not Apple might generate a vehicle. Sony has already revealed to us a prototype of their product packed with full of the technology, and recently it is moving a step further.

Sony also released many demo videos on YouTube by featuring both Vision-S prototype EVs. There are also some of the two-minute Concept Movie above and provide such hints an apart of. On the other side, others have shown off their design of the user interface or the feature to test remote driving through a 5G connection connecting Tokyo and Germany in real-time.

Sony to launch firm to explore making electric cars

It is still not confirmed whether it will lead Sony brand car for a huge spin someday or not, but clearly, it has a vision for the autonomous electric future that they already start pursuing. The chairman, president, and CEO Kenichiro Yoshida said, “ We are exploring a commercial launch of Sony’s EV, “It seems that this exploration definitely reveals a ” creative entertainment company” that can “redefine mobility”.

Since revealing Vision-S, Sony from last year, Sony said a lot more about the capabilities with sensors, and we will definitely see the utilization and technical advantage in the car industry. In 2021, the automobile industry already faced the crisis of chip shortage, whether it will intend to join the party like a full-fledged competitor or maybe in some form like supplier or partner. It is expected it will make a huge response among the audience.

A big thanks for the source.
